Revenue Exceeds Last Year

With the arrival of spring came the much anticipated Annual Auction & Celebration at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort. Held this year on April 28, 2018, SFC celebrated its 40 year anniversary with a disco Studio 77 theme. Over 70 volunteers and approximately 275 guests made this event an incredible success. Thanks to the amazing generosity and support of our SFC families and friends, the total revenue exceeded $1,140,000 surpassing last year’s record by over $100,000!

On-Line Auction

The online auction also proved to be well received during the week prior to the event. SFC bidders purchased items such as special outings, restaurant gift certificates, vacations, and SFC-centric packages such as Teacher for the Day.

The Main Event

At the event itself, donors raised their paddles in the live auction, bidding on exciting packages donated by generous SFC families. Packages such as a Farm to Table dinner for 25; a football clinic with Drew Brees and several of his teammates; luxury trips to Cancun, Champagne France, Utah, and Sun Valley; and the most popular item – a glamping trip with renowned photographers Jeff Mitchum and Aaron Chang.

The live auction and “Fund the Future” are highlights of the night impacting every aspect of campus life. Net proceeds will go toward technology advancement, academic programs, teacher professional development, facility improvements, financial aid, arts, athletics, and missions.

Faithful Servant Award

During the successful philanthropic event, SFC alum parents Rick and Sherry Aguilera were presented with the Faithful Servant Award. This award honors those who have invested their time, influence and resources into the mission and vision of Santa Fe Christian Schools.
