Santa Fe Christian Schools has hired Tom Demaio, nationally recognized lacrosse coach, to take SFC’s Lacrosse Program to the highest level of competition.

DeMaio is the former head lacrosse coach for Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. DeMaio was also head varsity coach for Norwood High School in Massachusetts where he was named Bay League Coach of the Year in 2009. During his tenure as assistant varsity coach at Newton North High School, the lacrosse team won the Massachusetts state championship.

“Santa Fe Christian’s high academic and athletic record serves as a solid foundation to develop young lacrosse players into future leaders and role models. I’m excited to be part of the big vision for SFC’s lacrosse program.” said DeMaio.

SFC will conduct year-round lacrosse camps and clinics to develop young players. Beginning players develop high impact stick skills and play small area games. Players then progress to more competitive half/full field drills that require executing skills at game like speed.

The Lacrosse Program expansion is part of Santa Fe Christian’s Eagles Edge Athletic Program, a progressive kindergarten through 12th grade athletic development system that trains young athletes on sports fundamentals, teamwork, and godly sportsmanship in for competitive sports.
