Earlier this month, 14 SFC seniors signed athletic National Letters of Intent (NLI) and committed to play sports at the collegiate level. This year, SFC graduates have signed on for football, baseball, volleyball, softball and soccer. The following is a list of the athletes who signed the NLI and the school they will attend:
Football: Jake Bailey, Stanford University; Max Gardner, Cornell University; Ben Hamel, Colorado School of Mines; Samuel Ray, University of Puget Sound; Carter Roberts, Wheaton College.
Baseball: Cole Acosta, North Carolina State University; Dillon Paulson, University of Southern California; Tyler Stephens, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
Volleyball: Elie Adamson, Olivet Nazarene University; Casey Castillo, University of Hawaii, Manoa.
Softball: Kelly Clanton, University of San Diego
Soccer: Will Blackburn, California State University, Monterey; Kristen Cole, Point Loma Nazarene; Ali Whiting, Princeton University.
The NLI is a binding agreement between a prospective student-athlete and an NLI member institution where the student-athlete agrees to attend the institution full-time for one academic year and the institution agrees to provide athletics financial aid for one academic year.
Additional SFC student-athletes are expected to commit as the deadline nears for most sports in August. Watch our social media channels for more information. If you would like to learn more about SFC’s hard-working athletes, go to www.sfcsathletics.net.
