One of the benefits of attending a private kindergarten is your child will be known. With class sizes of 20 students or less, the program fosters the recognition of the contributions of each child, the varied cognitive development level of each student and their spiritual growth as a child of God.
Kindergarten Curriculum
Learn all about SFC’s kindergarten at a Kinder Chat. During this event, our Elementary School principal and kindergarten teachers will give parents an inside look into SFC’s kindergarten program. In addition, the admissions team will provide customized campus tours.
Kinder Chats are offered in the fall, winter, and spring.
It’s never too early to start! Most parents start thinking about kindergarten when their child is three or four years old and has entered a preschool setting. We recommend submitting applications for kindergarten in the fall prior to the child’s desired enrollment.
Students need to be five years old on or before September 1 of the enrollment year.
The first round of registration opens on October 1 and closes on February 1.
Santa Fe Christian’s kindergarten is a full-day program: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 8:00 am-1:55 pm, Wednesday 8:30 am to 1:55 pm, Friday 8:00 am – 12:25 pm.
Kindergarten at SFC offers an environment in which children are encouraged to explore and discover the world God has created. The emotional growth of the child, including interactions with peers and adults, is central to the curriculum design. The curriculum includes Bible, science (labs), social studies, art, music, math, pre-reading and reading skill development, writing, Spanish, and physical education. All segments of the program emphasize teaching the whole child, learning through hands-on exploration, and developing independence within the classroom and school-wide community. SFC encourages a strong partnership between home and school and invites parent participation in each child’s education.
