Your gifts to the SFC Annual Giving Program directly impact our kids, our school and our world. Your generosity provides funding for life-changing mission trips, cutting-edge classroom technology, accessibility through financial aid, and the best professional development for our faculty. It also allows us to expand our athletic program, increase our STEAM curriculum, and make enhancements to the safety and security of our campus. Will you help us make a difference?
Thank you to the many people who participated in this year’s online auction. The funds raised benefit the Families Helping Families fund. Each year our community gathers together for an annual themed celebration and live auction. Stay tuned for the announcement of the 2020-21 theme.
Frequently asked questions on giving:
The SFC Annual Giving program is the vehicle in which we generate much-needed funds to enrich the student experience at our school. Through the generosity of our families and friends, we raise the money each year that has an immediate impact on our students both in and outside the classroom. Typically, annual funds are not used for capital improvements or endowment as those are raised through other efforts.
A donation to SFC is an eternal investment in our kids, our school, and our world. Your gifts allow us to expand student opportunities and experiences at SFC that would not exist on tuition alone. Annual Giving profoundly impacts students academic and spiritual life by providing the best practices in teaching, mission trip offerings, technology upgrades, enhanced student safety & security, athletic improvements, cutting-edge programs such as STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), and offers accessibility to our school through financial aid. Last year, 71% of our families made donations to SFC. With your help and support, we will reach our goal of 100% participation this year.
We encourage everyone to participate during SFC Annual Giving Days in October. We look to have all donations in by December 31 to assure the dollars raised can be put to immediate use. However, SFC’s fiscal year runs through June 30, 2020, so your gift is welcome any time through that period.
Yes, you always have the option to designate with a gift of $500 or more. We prefer to receive undesignated gifts so that school leadership can direct the funds to where they’re needed most.
We have hundreds of contributors who give with generously every year! A record 71% of our current families gave last year. Additional giving comes from grandparents, alumni, alumni parents, and corporate matching gift programs.
We ask that each donor prayerfully consider the amount to give for their family. We do not have a designated amount for giving–every gift is appreciated and matters, no matter the amount.
No. The Annual Giving program is separate from the auction in the spring. Both raise money for the school but are distinct philanthropic efforts.
Yes. Our goal is for every family to participate in our Annual Giving program. It doesn’t matter how much you donate–the important thing is that we are joined together with other families to support SFC.
Yes. Many employers will match your gift to SFC. Check directly with your employer. Corporate matching doubles your gift and thus doubles its impact on SFC.
All gifts are greatly appreciated! Occasionally we recognize donors alphabetically, by name only, in SFC publications. In addition, those who donate or pledge $3000 or more by November 15, 2021, also receive 2 tickets to the annual Christmas Gala at The Grand Del Mar. Of course, we respect those wishing to give anonymously and will honor that upon request.
