SFC’s elementary curriculum is dedicated to nurturing the values that lay the foundation for your child’s success. With our small classes, students are loved and known by their teacher and peers. Our program introduces students to specialty classes like fine art and Spanish as well as other extracurriculars.
Character training is another important element of our elementary curriculum. Students are organized into small groups led by staff members that meet regularly throughout the year. In these groups, students foster relationships and have mentorship opportunities at various development levels.
Sandra Kim graduated from the University of California, Riverside and continued her academic pursuits at Teachers College, Columbia University, earning a Masters of Art in Elementary Education. With over two decades of teaching experience, Sandra temporarily paused her career in 2008 to focus on raising her daughter, Samantha, before joyfully returning to the classroom in 2015. Sandra is blessed to be part of the SFC community and finds this job an answer to many prayers for her family.
After graduating Carlsbad High School, she went to Syracuse University where she majored in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance. As a singer-songwriter and worship leader, Anadara wrote and recorded music in Nashville Tennessee where she was a signed recording artist with Spring Hill Worship. Her songs won Praise and Worship Song of the Year in the 2018 GMA Covenant Awards and First Place in the International Songwriting Competition in 2009 for Gospel/Christian Music. Her passion for music and mentoring children led her to begin teaching over 13 years ago and she has since taught elementary aged students in Nashville, Hawaii and back home in Southern California.
