Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE the Bible to be the inspired, only infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
WE BELIEVE there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
WE BELIEVE that salvation is by grace alone through faith, apart from works, by the merit of the shed blood of Christ, and that the born-again believer is eternally secure in Christ.

Criteria
Please review the spiritual, academic, behavioral and financial criteria for Santa Fe Christian students and families listed below. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
Spiritual Commitment
One parent or guardian must be a professing believer in Jesus Christ, agree with the school’s statement of faith, and provide a written Christian testimony. It is preferred that both parents provide written faith testimonies.
Students (and at least one parent) must regularly attend, and be actively involved in, a Christ-centered church. Here is the Pastor Recommendation Form.
Parents must sign the Parent Commitment Form which indicates their support and compliance with the philosophy, statement of faith, spiritual goals, policies, practices, and objectives of Santa Fe Christian Schools.
Upper School students must be professing Christians.

leadership team
Rod Gilbert
Head of Schools
Rod Gilbert brings a fresh perspective as SFC’s Head of Schools. As a strong leader with a shepherd’s heart, Rod encourages SFC’s faculty, coaches and staff to strive for excellence in all they do. At his core, Rod is an educator who wants children and their parents to see the world as something lovely, worth exploring and redeeming through Christ.
Prior to joining the SFC team, Rod led Regents School of Austin for fifteen years. While in Texas, he served on various boards and associations, wrote numerous journal articles and grant proposals, and conducted dozens of workshops on leadership and education. Rod holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, and a Master’s of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. He participated in additional studies at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and the CESA Oxford University Intensive.
Rod and his wife of over 30 years, Angie, love watching their adult children on wild, and amazing journeys. They have a son, a daughter and her husband, and a baby grandson. When away from the office, Rod and Angie can be found soaking up the North County beach culture. In his free time, Rod also enjoys Cold War spy novels, Patrick O-Brien novels, Tolkien epic stories, cycling, day hikes, and rowing.
